Lumberjack System, the muscular, real-time logging and pre-edit tool for Final Cut Pro X, expands to take advantage of new features in the latest release of Apple’s Final Cut Pro X to enable a new Story mode that creates string-outs based on already logged footage. This opens up the pre-edit string-out features of Lumberjack Lumberyard to projects with a long timescale.
Concurrent with last week’s release of the latest version of Final Cut Pro X 10.1.2, Lumberjack System announces a new Story mode in the popular, muscular, real-time logging and pre-edit tool, allowing more flexible use of the string-out functions and utilizing already logged footage.
- Story mode builds on the existing features of Lumberjack System and adds:
- Support for logging inside Final Cut Pro X and using Story mode for pre-edit string-outs
- String-outs from footage already logged using Lumberjack
With the latest release of Final Cut Pro X, producers and editors can log directly in Final Cut Pro X as well as in Lumberjack System and use those keywords to feed the powerful pre-edit, string-out functions available in the Lumberyard desktop app.
Because long form documentaries take time, Story mode means that you can log with Lumberjack System throughout the production process with or without Keyword string-outs and then use Story mode to generate pre-edit string-outs from all the logged material.
Lumberjack System works seamlessly in tandem with Apple’s Final Cut Pro X 10.1 and takes advantage of the ability to have multiple Events in the one XML file introduced in the latest release of Final Cut Pro X.
Lumberjack System is available at LumberjackSystem.com/signup for $9.99 per month with a yearly subscription or $25 per month with no commitment. It is easy to operate and can be learned in a very short period of time. It is customizable to just about any type of production and has been used for reality and non-scripted, sports, conventions, corporate videos, weddings and events, among others.
